FAQs - Trouble shooting Sparky™
What if Sparky™ does not start?
When you click on the app icon to start Sparky™, the app starts and immediately starts searching for the spirometer via Bluetooth. If it cannot find a spirometer nearby, the game will not start. It will give you a message that this is the case. Please ensure that your spirometer is nearby.
Check your wi-fi or data to make sure they are enabled.
What if Sparky™ does not start, even when your spirometer is nearby?
If your MIR Spirobank Smart spirometer is nearby, and the game does not start, please check the batteries of the spirometer.
If you have checked and have replaced the batteries, close the game and restart to connect it.
Make sure you have been maintaining and cleaning your MIR Spirobank Smart spirometer. Follow the instructions for maintaining and cleaning your spirometer in your manual which was included with your spirometer or go to (https://spirometry.com/en/news/ensuring-the-accuracy-of-your-spirometry-results-best-practices-for-spirometer-maintenance/)
If the spirometer still does not work, your spirometer may be faulty. To find out if this is the case, contact mike.s@spirometry.com at MIR support. If it is determined that the spirometer is faulty, MIR will replace the spirometer if it is within one year of purchase.

I'm having problems with login on the app
Once you download the Sparky App, close down the entire app. Then open it again and login with your caregiver credentials. Remember to click on the box to identify yourself as the caregiver. You will be asked for your 2FA.
Once you have added your child, close the entire app again before you have your child log in. Remember to use your child's Username and not their actual name. The App only recognizes Username, in order to protect the child's privacy. Use the password you set for your child in the Account and NOT your password.
How to reset / re-install sparky™?
In very rare cases, you may need to re-install Sparky™. Follow the next steps:
i. Go to the settings menu.
ii. Remove all data from Sparky™
iii. Uninstall the game
iv. Switch your tablet/phone off
v. Switch your tablet/ phone on
vi. Install Sparky™
vii. Open Sparky™ and login as parent/Guardian (do not forget to check the box for this)
viii. Add your child
ix. Enter with your child’s login.
